License Agreement
Last updated: March 5, 2026
This License Agreement ("License") governs the use of sound files, samples, loops, one-shots, MIDI files, and presets (collectively, "Sounds") included in DOLLA BOY products.
1. Grant of License
Upon purchase (or claiming the free kit), you are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use the Sounds in your musical works, subject to the terms below.
This is a single-user license granted to one individual. You may work with contractors inside your project (mix/master engineers, ghost producers, session collaborators), but you may not transfer, share, or distribute raw source files to them outside what is strictly necessary for your project workflow.
2. What You CAN Do
- Use any Sound in your original music productions, beats, remixes, and compositions
- Release tracks containing the Sounds on any platform — Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, BeatStars, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, etc.
- Sell beats containing the Sounds (leases and exclusive sales), subject to Royalty-Free / Not Royalty-Free terms below
- Use the Sounds in commercial projects — ads, films, podcasts, games — as part of a larger work
- Modify, chop, layer, process, and transform the Sounds in any way
- Use the Sounds in an unlimited number of projects
3. Royalty-Free (RF) Sounds
If a product or Sound is marked Royalty-Free, you may use it in independent releases, beat sales, sync placements, social content, and monetized content without revenue sharing.
However, for releases involving major labels or major artists, mandatory clearance still applies (see Section 5).
4. Not Royalty-Free (No RF) Sounds
If a product or Sound is marked Not Royalty-Free, revenue sharing is required in all commercial uses:
- Beat sales platforms (BeatStars, Airbit, and any other marketplaces): 50/50 split
- Artist releases: 50/50 split on royalties, master income, and advances
Commercial use of Not Royalty-Free Sounds requires split terms to be honored. If needed, deal specifics may be documented in a separate split/clearance agreement.
5. Major Labels / Major Artists — Mandatory Clearance
For any release involving major labels (including subsidiaries) or major artists, you must obtain clearance from DOLLA BOY before release, regardless of whether the Sound is Royalty-Free or Not Royalty-Free.
- Clearance is mandatory and requires an agreement
- You must contact us before release/placement
- No release is authorized until terms are approved
Clearance requests: support@dollaboy.com
6. What You CANNOT Do
- Redistribute the Sounds as-is — do not share, upload, resell, or give away raw files
- Repackage the Sounds into sample packs, drum kits, libraries, or competing products
- Claim ownership of the original Sounds — all source IP remains with DOLLA BOY
- Upload source Sounds to content ID systems or make ownership claims on the original source material
- Use Sounds in major releases without prior clearance
7. AI / Machine Learning Restrictions
You may not use the Sounds for AI or machine learning training, dataset creation, model fine-tuning, or generation of derivative sample libraries without separate written permission from DOLLA BOY.
For AI/ML licensing requests, contact: support@dollaboy.com
8. Free Kit
The free kit is provided under the same license framework. Usage rights depend on whether specific Sounds are marked Royalty-Free or Not Royalty-Free.
9. Termination
This license remains valid while you comply with these terms. If you violate any term, DOLLA BOY may revoke your license immediately and request takedown/removal of unauthorized releases or distributions.
10. Disclaimer
The Sounds are provided "as is." We make no warranties regarding fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for how you use the Sounds in your productions.
